Bronson Munro Scott:

My dad loved being a police officer. He joined the force right out of high school. Law was his life, even from when he was young. I’ll never forget the day he became a lawyer in Canberra. When it came to the law, my dad, was all in. He lived for it. I just wanna say thank you to everyone for your beautiful comments. They’ve meant so much to my family during this time. He was a great man, and he won’t be forgotten. I love you so much Dad, fly high and RIP🕊️🕊️🕊️

* Story behind any Nickname:     Stoz:

It appears that Stoz, having had a heart attack on the evening of ANZAC day ( Friday 25 April ) – after participating in the ANZAC march with his colleagues from HMAS Vampire, was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital, Darlinghurst, NSW, where he was placed on Life Support until his Life Support was removed on Tuesday 30 April 2025.

During those Five days, no attempt was made to contact his mother, daughter or son ( currently Serving our Nation with the Airforce ) in order for them to attend his bedside to say their last farewells.

Gary, having only passing away just over 34 hours ago, has since been Cremated with his Ashes going back to W.A. tomorrow morning ( 2 May 2025 ) despite Gary already having a plot next to his deceased father on the South Coast of NSW.

Coroner calls for recreational diving industry to be regulated

A Sydney coroner has recommended stricter regulation for the diving industry, saying the time for self-regulation has long passed.

Police officer Edward Van Putten accidentally drowned in December 2004 while on a recreational dive with a group of colleagues off Sydney’s South Head.

The Glebe Coroner’s Court was told that Mr Van Putten was a very large man who needed twice as much oxygen as the average diver.

But he did not tell anyone on the dive of his special needs, and was given an oxygen tank that was too small.

Deputy state coroner Dorell Pinch has found that the 53-year-old’s needs were not recorded in his dive logbook, and that no-one on the dive assumed the role of supervisor.

The industry is covered by a voluntary code of practice, but the coroner has now recommended that it should come under the authority of WorkCover.
