1972 and to mark our one year at Waverley STP, Stevo (right side standing) baked a cake. He was a really good cook, the baked dinners were legendary!

I was fortunate enough to know Stevo in the early 1982. A true gentleman. I believe a form of cancer got him in the end. Very sad.
Went through the academy with Dennis at Redfern.
Good bloke very caring and genuine.
Lost contact over the years.

At the time Stevo passed away there was an article in a Sydney paper that the Undertakers were taking his body to Glebe and that one was issued a ticked for not wearing a seatbelt at the time.
I first met Dennis when he was working the old digidar in Moore Park Road in the mid seventies. A true character that lad…he talked me into joining the HWP and after watching him in action I was at North Sydney HWP not long after. A true gentleman and comedian….everyone in the HWP knew Dennis….went to his funeral at Mascot……will always remember him…CORCO..
I remember Stevo from North Sydney STP/HWP. A character always with a smile and giving cheek to everyone. I understand that it wasn’t unusual for his bike to be regularly parked outside the Maroubra Beach call box. A good bloke, sorry to hear he’s passed. RIP
