Hi,
We are raising money in relation to help cover expenses for the funeral / wake of retired police Sergeant Ian ‘Spud’ Miller, who tragically passed away 18 December 2024.
Sergeant Ian ‘Spud’ Miller, A.P.M, Registered number 18024 dedicated his life to serving and protecting the community. Born 19 February 1959, Ian joined the NSW Police Force at just 19 years old, beginning a remarkable career at Balmain / Leichhardt Local Area Command.
For 46 years, Ian stood on the frontline, showing unwavering courage, compassion, and commitment to the people he served. After retiring on 17 May 2024, Ian looked forward to spending time with family and enjoying the next chapter of his life. Tragically, on 18 December 2024, Ian passed away, leaving behind his wife, Susan Miller, son’s Scott Miller (serving officer) and Mitchell Miller. He was also a loving Grandfather to Sarah and Cameron Miller.
During his 46 years serving the people of New South Wales, Ian only took two sick day off work which shows his dedication and loyalty to the job he loved.

Any contribution, big or small, will go directly towards Ian’s funeral and wake, offering his family the space to grieve without added financial stress.
