Cal. Max was as top bloke and good friend. He was promoted to Inspector and first posting was Division Commander, Armidale. When he retired he moved back to Newcastle and lived at Stockton. He owned a beautiful old Willys Land Rover. Kept it looking like a New Penny and some bastard stole it. To Max I think it akin to losing arm and a leg. suffered from dementia over recent years. RIP Old Mare.
