It is not confirmed, but research shows that Mervyn Walter Bush may have been a Prison Warder ( on probation, General Division, Prisons Dept. ) as of 14 September 1953 until his official resignation from the Dept. of the Attorney General and of Justice, as a Warder with Dept of Prisons on 14 May 1956 before joining NSWPF.
Despite him being appointed as a Probationary Constable on the 1 May 1956 and the time he would have spent at the Academy, it is possible he was on annual leave from the Dept. of Prisons whilst he tested the waters of the NSWPF.
Nothing further, at the time of publication, is known about this mans career.
