He was my Sergeant when I joined in 1990 at stationed at Parramatta. A very nice man and a tremendous Sergeant. If memory serves me correct he caught the train to work and wore a safari suit type jacket over his uniform whilst coming to and from work.
Sad news as I was just searching Facebook for old colleques and saw he had passed. Condolence to family
I worked with Des regularly in the Eastern Suburbs in the late 1970’s to early 1980’s. Just a great bloke, very hard worker, very highly regarded by everyone and a great Mentor to all. Des’s son is a brilliant Police Prosecutor and Des’s passing is a great loss to us all. Rest in Peace Dessy, your job is done
Good bloke. Rest in Peace Des. God Bless brother.
Very sad to see that Des has passed away. I worked with him in the Blue Mountains in the late 80’s. Rest in peace Des, sincere condolences to your family and friends.
