A true professional and always a gentleman.
Joined the job with Steve, always a great person to have a chat with. He served with distinction and helped find closure for many families during his long investigative career. Sadly his retirement was cut short due to illness. My condolences to his wife and family, and may he rest in peace. Peter C
What a top Police officer. I first met Steve in the early 80’s when Forensic Services were called Scientific Investigation Section. An extremely talented operator. I can’t speak more highly of this man.
As outlined, he investigated some of the most terrible, serious events/crimes in Australia and overseas.
Years later I saw him at Police HQs Parramatta. Always impeccably dressed, continuing his outstanding ability in solving crimes.
I was deeply saddened by his passing and so soon after his retirement from a distinguished career.
My thoughts go out to Steve’s family.
May Detective Senior Sergeant Stephen Raynor Horn (rtd) forever rest in eternal peace.
